The Temple of Elam does not see itself as an alternative to Judaism or Christianity, but rather as an interpretation of the Lord’s divine message to mankind.
Its leader is the Archangel Michael, whom the Lord has declared in his earthly form to be the Ram of Elam.
The Tanakh—the sacred text of the Old Testament—serves as the primary scripture guiding the Temple of Elam.
The Temple of Elam holds that Jesus is the Son of the Lord, yet it adheres to a Unitarian understanding, rejecting the trinitarian doctrine.
It is believed that Jesus is the Son of God but is not the Christ foretold in the Old Testament. Also the Temple of Elam doesn’t believe in the Second coming of Jesus. The Temple of Elam follows the characteristics set forth in the Old Testament regarding the Christ to come.
The Temple of Elam does not regard the New Testament as a divinely guided scripture. Though acknowledging its inaccuracies, it holds that the text offers insight into the character and teachings of Jesus Christ.
The Temple of Elam believes that Jesus preached solely from the Tanakh, never seeking to add, alter, or contradict its divine teachings. It holds that if Jesus had wished to establish a New Testament, he would have done so during his lifetime.
Jesus is believed to have offered himself as a sacrifice for mankind’s salvation. Yet the Temple of Elam professes that Jesus shall not return; rather, the Christ foretold in the Tanakh, distinct from Jesus, shall come in his appointed time.
As Jesus followed the Tanakh, so too does the Temple of Elam, embracing its wisdom with the same compassion that Jesus demonstrated in his teachings.
The Temple of Elam professes belief in One true Lord, whose divine word is revealed in the Tanakh, and follows Him without exception. His Son, Jesus Christ, is regarded as the embodiment of man in the Lord’s vision.
Though many have sought communion with the Lord throughout history, the Temple of Elam acknowledges the varying degrees of understanding among different peoples. The Zoroastrians, among the earliest seekers, had but a simple relationship with the Lord. The prophet of Islam Muhammed had a unique relationship to the Lord and referred to him as Allah. The Prophet Moses had the most direct relationship with the Lord. They are examples of men that received communication from the Lord. The Prophet Moses communicated directly with the Lord while Muhammad received divine revelation through the Angel Gabriel.
